Meet Dr. Seema
Dentist & Certified Yoga Instructor
There is a missing piece in the conversation about women’s health in midlife: your smile. Menopause changes almost everything—including your mouth—but you shouldn't have to navigate it alone.
I’m a dentist in menopause myself and am dedicated to redefining how we care for the menopausal mouth—an often-overlooked but deeply impactful phase of a woman’s health journey. Blending clinical experience, research, and personal insight, I uncover the root causes behind midlife changes like dry mouth and dental breakdown.
Having navigated some of these shifts firsthand, I’m passionate about translating credible research into practical tools. At the heart of my work is bringing awareness to how menopausal oral health connects to broader, systemic wellness.
Ultimately, my goal is simply to care for the whole woman. By connecting the dots and guiding both patients and practitioners to understand these natural shifts, a simple dental visit becomes an empowering step toward overall wellness.

"The afternoon of life is just as full of meaning as the morning; it only requires a different kind of strength to sustain its light." — Carl Jung

"This has been an incredible eye-opening learning experience…even as a physician I never knew how intricately oral health is tied to overall health, particularly as it is relevant to perimenopausal women. What a scholarly undertaking to approach such an important part of our health so holistically—this is exactly what is needed and what empowers us all on an individual level to understand and really take accountability for every action that contributes to our overall health or “well-being.” I am really excited to see and learn more. As a result of watching these videos I have really put an emphasis on keeping blood sugars stable and on regulating my nervous system (eg. using box breathing) to improve my oral health. What a fundamental difference from growing up being told “avoid sugary snacks and make sure to brush and floss.” As a physician, I really believe that fundamentally explaining the basis of disease from its root causes really invigorates patients to take action and be proactive in their own health care, rather than to engage passively and seek medical/dental care to correct poor health outcomes."
